Contemporary Scandinavian Transformations in SW5

Kashi Shikunova is an interior designer and the founder of YAM studios. Her work is characterised by its Scandinavian-inspired aesthetic, creating spaces that are both practical and tranquil, cosy and calm.

Here she describes working on a flat in Gledhow Gardens, SW5. The challenge was to update the interiors in a contemporary style, while preserving the historic character of the building. This resulted in a minimalist design that takes advantage of the high ceilings and full-length windows, with a sense of warmth and serenity throughout.
